The injuries
Pedro felt a thigh injury in the 35th minute of the first half. The striker sprinted toward the goal but then placed his hand on the back of his left thigh. He was unable to continue in the match and was substituted by Gabigol.
Pedro quickly began treatment on the bench. The striker appeared dejected about the situation. Flamengo announced that the player will be reevaluated on Friday.
Gabigol, on the other hand, felt a thigh injury at the end of the match against Bolívar. The Rio team had already made all three substitution windows. Therefore, jersey number 99 went straight to the team’s locker room.
After the game, Gabigol was seen limping near the press area of the Maracanã, accompanied by Flamengo’s doctor and physiotherapist.
