CIES: Athletico Paranaense stands out in the list of clubs with the highest profit from transfers

According to data from the CIES Football Observatory, there is a Brazilian club that has stood out from the rest in this regard, being the team with the most profits from the sales of non-homegrown players in all of South America: Athletico Paranaense. All of this is according to the data analyzed by the aforementioned entity, which examined the figures of all clubs worldwide between 2014 and 2023.

In this list, LOSC Lille is the club in the world with the most profits from this type of sales, with a profit of +368 million euros after having spent around 241 million euros on signings that were sold for over 627 million euros. The top 3 is completed by AFC Ajax (+317 million euros) and RB Salzburg (+233 million euros).

In this list, where there are no other South American teams, Athletico Paranaense appears in the thirteenth position. The club based in Paraná spent around 16 million on signings, generating an impressive net gain of +123 million euros, totaling 139 million euros.
