The Brazilian league continues to be a place where European giants set their sights to find generational talents. A prospect who is reportedly drawing interest from the Old Continent is Santos youngster Angelo Gabriel, who is just 18 years old.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Chelsea are leading the race for the promising winger. Compared with Neymar for his impressive dribbling and flair, Gabriel was courted by Barcelona, but the Catalan club decided not to exercise their right of preference, leaving the door open for the Blues. Chelsea are therefore seen as the best positioned club to sign him, and Gabriel, who has already established himself as starter at Santos since the age of 16, is valued at around £13m.

Santos need cash
Santos, battling with significant financial problems, are actively seeking to raise funds, which increases the possibilities of selling Gabriel. Newcastle are also said to be interested in the player, with many other Premier League clubs following his progress as well.
#Chelsea have agreed a €15M fee with Santos for Angelo Gabriel, who will join on a deal until 2029. He will start pre-season with the club, then could possibly go out on loan.

However, Chelsea appear to have the advantage and may be able to complete the transfer this summer, bolstering their squad with a promising young talent who is already seen as the next Neymar.
