Chelsea have been linked with Matheus França for a while, but now it looks like they have a new competitor for the Flamengo gem. According to UOL, Crystal Palace have joined the race for the young midfielder and even submitted a €15 million offer this week.
The Mengao reportedly have no rush to sell the 19-year-old, but they understand it’s hard to keep him when so many clubs are picking up the phone for him. However, the Rio de Janeiro-based club are expected to demand around €25 million to let França go, with add-ons and bonuses included.

Matheus França drawing interest in England
Before The Eagles made their bid, the Blues reportedly approached Fla to enquire about a potential deal for França. As a matter of fact, the Brazilian giants are believed to have turned down an offer from Stamford Bridge in January. The months have passed, and now Crystal Palace seem to want the midfielder as well.
Botafogo owner John Textor, who also is a co-owner of the south London side, is said to be a huge admirer of França and would love to sign him for the English club. This year, the teenager boasts three goals and one assist in 28 appearances.
