Chelsea definitely have a strong interest in finding generational talents in Brazil. The Blues signed Vasco da Gama product Andrey Santos in January, with the midfielder moving to England in July once he got his work permit. This summer, they seem to have set their sights in Santos’ squad.
Shortly after acquiring 18-year-old winger Ângelo for a reported €15 million, the London-based outfit would also take striker Deivid Washington away from Peixe. According to journalist and transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Santos have already accepted a €15m bid for the 18-year-old that could go up to €20 million with add-ons.

Once the documents are signed, Washington could be sent on loan to Strasbourg alongside Ângelo, who is already at the French club to gain experience in Europe before playing at Stamford Bridge. However, the striker could be luckier and be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans this campaign.

The young forward has made 16 appearances for Santos this year, scoring two goals in the Brasileirao. The three-time Libertadores champions are not going through the best of times, as they find themselves in relegation spots with 18 points in as many games. While having to part with young talent is not great, the money could be very useful for a cash-strapped club in its attempt to stay in the top-flight.
