The Senior Women’s National Team began to report on Thursday (4), to kick off the preparation for the Paris Olympic Games. Before traveling to France, the 28 athletes called up for this stage will be concentrated until July 17, at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis (RJ).

The team’s first training session will take place this Friday (5). However, the group will only be complete on the 9th, when the athletes playing in the United States join the group.

The schedule for the Brazilian National Team’s preparation for the Paris Olympics is as follows:

  • July 4 – Start of the presentation of the athletes at Granja Comary
  • July 5 – First training session
  • July 9 – Integration of the athletes who play in the United States
  • July 17 – Departure for France

During this period in Teresópolis, the team will have daily training sessions and friendly matches to fine-tune the squad before the Olympic competition begins.

The Brazilian Women’s National Team is aiming to win the gold medal in Paris, after taking the silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The National Team travels to Bordeaux, France, the team’s base in the initial phase, on the 17th. From the 18th, the Brazilian team will start the field work before the match against Nigeria. Then, they board for Paris, for the second match, against Japan, and return to the headquarters after the match for the last game, against Spain.

In case of qualification for the quarterfinals, the National Team will not have a fixed headquarters, so they will make the trips to the host cities of the knockout matches, depending on the draw for the next rounds.
