Chael Sonnen took advantage of his stay in São Paulo, for the boxing match with Anderson Silva next Saturday (14), to go to the game of his “club of the heart” in Brazil.

On Thursday (13), the former UFC fighter was at the Allianz Parque to watch Palmeiras x Vasco, in the Brasileirão.

Chael Sonnen follows Palmeiras game

The American was present in one of the boxes of the stadium, dressed in the white and green shirt. Sonnen took pictures with some fans of the club, celebrating at the Palmeiras arena.

Sonnen, in fact, posed for a photo holding a club flag, which he has created a close relationship with over the years precisely to provoke his former rival Anderson Silva, a Corinthians fan.

Fight between Sonnen and Anderson Silva

This will be the third clash between the American and Spider, and also the last, since Anderson Silva will make his farewell from fights on Brazilian soil.

Sonnen and Anderson Silva faced each other twice in the UFC, and in both cases the Brazilian, one of the greatest MMA fighters in history, came out on top.
