The Brazilian Women’s National Team was honored with a panel at CBF’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro for winning the silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The new facade, featuring photos of the players and coach Arthur Elias, was inaugurated on the morning of this Monday (12), in recognition of the campaign that returned the Amarelinha to the Olympic podium after 16 years.
On Saturday (10), the team led by coach Arthur Elias came close to victory but was defeated by the United States 1-0 at Parc des Princes in Paris.

Despite the setback in the final, there is a sense of pride among everyone for the campaign throughout the Olympics. During the competition, the team overcame obstacles such as injuries, a tight schedule, and strong teams like Spain and France to compete for the top spot on the podium.
This was the third time Brazil finished with silver in the Olympic Games, having also achieved this result in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008. This collective achievement marked an important individual milestone for Queen Marta, who became Brazil’s most decorated Olympic footballer with her third silver medal.
Since May, CBF’s headquarters has displayed the victory of Brazil’s bid to host the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
