With a centenarian history full of great titles won by the teams that represent it, the CBF also accounts for the growth and organization of national football, one of the most respected in the world.

The CBF was founded on June 8, 1914 and was called the Brazilian Sports Federation (FBS). The entity adopted the current configurations from September 24, 1979, when it broke away from the Brazilian Sports Confederation (CBD), then responsible for the sports practiced in Brazil.

“The CBF’s purpose is to foster the practice of football in Brazil for men and women, boys and girls, without distinction of age, color, sex, sexual orientation and origin. The CBF believes that the sport belongs and has always belonged to everyone, and therefore adopts and encourages inclusive initiatives,” says the entity’s article.

Brazil is recognized as a breeding ground for talents, who helped shape the country’s image around the world. It was with the feet of these athletes that the country became the only five-time world champion and popularized the Yellow Jersey around the planet, from the creativity of our football and the joy of the players.
