CBF announces match between Brazil and Mexico in June 2024

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced this Tuesday (19) the holding of a friendly match between the Brazilian Men’s Main Team and the Mexico National Team, scheduled for June 8, 2024, in the USA, as part of the preparation for the Copa América.

In addition to Mexico, the Brazilian Men’s Team has already confirmed matches for 2024 with the teams from Spain and England.

The last clash between Brazil and Mexico took place five years ago, in 2018, in the round of 16 of the World Cup. Brazil won 2-0, with goals from Neymar and Firmino.

In total, the two teams faced each other 41 times, five of them in World Cups, 19 friendlies, six times in editions of the Copa América, four times in the Confederations Cup, three times in the Golden Cup and four times in the Panamericano.

Brazil won 24 of the 41 games played, drew in seven of them and lost ten.
