“We lived incredible moments with these players and we didn’t realize what Lionel Messi did, what Cristiano Ronaldo did. We don’t value much what Cristiano did in football and what he is still doing. He scored 50 goals at 37 or 38 years old. What can you say about a player like that? We have to appreciate and value that,” said Casemiro.
The midfielder also emphasized Cristiano Ronaldo’s consistency at a high level, even when he is not at his best. “A player who scores 50 goals a year… He’s playing at an 8 level and scoring 50 goals. A player who scores 50 goals a year…” he added.
The Brazilian highlighted Mbappé’s speed, intelligence, and finishing ability, stating that the Frenchman has a goal-scoring instinct similar to Cristiano Ronaldo.
“For me, Mbappé is one of the best of today, if not the best. Very fast, intelligent… He reminds me a lot of Cristiano. He’s on the field, but he runs the risk of scoring. Cristiano was like that, he smelled the goal. Against Barcelona, the next day, he didn’t have a good game, he finishes and comes out with two goals. You can feel it on the pitch,” praised Casemiro.
