A scenario that every player wants: winning a title, at home, with the support of the fans. Brazilian midfielder Oscar, from Shanghai Port, experienced exactly that this Sunday (29), after a 1-1 draw against second-placed Shandong Taishan.
The result gave the Chinese Super League title to the Red Eagles, who reached 60 points, and can no longer be reached in the table.
Excited, Oscar spoke of his joy in winning the national title for the second time with Shanghai Port and affirmed his commitment throughout the season.
“From the beginning, my focus was this, to donate as much as possible to the team and help my teammates win the SuperLiga. Today is the culmination of all our efforts this year,” he said.
In total, Oscar scored 61 goals and provided more than 100 assists wearing Port colors. In the Asian country, the 32-year-old from São Paulo also won the Chinese Super Cup on one occasion, in addition to having already been chosen as the best player of the 2021 season.
