Guimarães admits he hates playing against Manchester City
“We know Manchester City are a step above any team in England, with all due respect. It’s the worst game when we go there, I hate it. Seems like we’re all kids and they’re professionals,” Bruno said.
“The experience is horrible. It feels like they’re playing 15 and we’re playing seven. We look and think, ‘Wow, there’s so many guys in blue’. It’s just amazing… And these players are all blessed with crazy talent. Sometimes we say to ourselves: the coach asks us to go and press the right side, the left side… But against City, how do we play? You go out and the guys score straight away… It’s extremely difficult, there are so many good players,” he joked.
The words of Bruno Guimarães reflect well the supremacy of Manchester City on English grounds.
Next season shall put to test the supremacy of the Citizens as other clubs are trying to regain space. That’s especially the case with Arsenal and Manchester United, who regained momentum but were unable to seize their opportunities. Newcastle has also showed that it can be a player by guaranteeing a spot on the next Champions League.
