Bruno Guimarães is delivering excellent performances with Newcastle United this season. However, the Brazilian midfielder is catching the eye of several top European clubs. Despite this, he has sought to dispel rumors about a possible departure.
Key signing in the club’s acquisition by the Saudi investment fund for a sum of 40 million euros from Olympique Lyonnais, Bruno Guimarães has quickly established himself as an essential element in the Magpies’ starting eleven.
His outstanding performances have attracted interest from prestigious clubs such as FC Barcelona, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea. Some media even suggested that Newcastle might be forced to sell some players to comply with financial fair play regulations.

Bruno Guimarães’ reassuring statements
However, Bruno Guimarães clarified his situation in an interview with Sky Sports. He stated that he is happy at the club and does not consider leaving.
“Sometimes, a lot of things are said about me, but I only think about football. I am very happy here and I appreciate the affection from the fans. Let people talk; our goal is to qualify for Europe again, even the Champions League, although it will be difficult. The fans have been incredible with me and my family, and I hope it continues for a long time,” he said.
Bruno Guimarães seems fully committed to the Magpies’ project and determined to stay with the club in the long term.
