Three losses in four games. Newcastle has not started the season as they ended the last one. Saturday (2nd), they lost 3-1 to Brighton and are now in the 14th place of the Premier League.
One of the leaders of the team, Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães used his social media to send a message to the fans and tranquilize them for the reminder of the season, which will yet feature a participation in the Champions League group stage.
“It’s definitely not our best start! We know we have to improve and we will charge ourselves for that! For the best of Newcastle ever. Time now to regroup and come back focussed on our goals! We will be together in all situations,” wrote Guimarães.

Bad moment
This is not the first time that the critics have been all over Newcastle’s performance this season. After the team’s defeat against Manchester City, Bruno also used his social network to send a message to the fans, but in a different tone. He erased the publication shortly after.
“Is this serious? We are in the Champions League, we lost against perhaps one of the best teams in the world. We had a big win and lost a game! Supporting in the best moments is easy. Short and stupid memories you all have. See what we’ve done for the team this year and a half,” he said.
Fifa date
Newcastle will have two weeks to find their rhythm as there will be the international break. After it, the Magpies face Brentford in the Premier League just before their debut in the Champions League against Milan, in the 19th.
