The Saudi football transfer window is causing a stir as Brazilian players storm the market with record deals. Top of the list is Malcom, the talented striker, whose remarkable transfer from Zenit Saint Petersburg to Al-Hilal was sealed for a colossal sum of 60 million euros.

This historic deal, concluded on July 26, 2023, is intended for the 2023/2024 season and links Malcom to Al-Hilal until June 30, 2027. This step reflects the rise of Brazilian players on the international football scene.

Brazil continue to dominate as defensive midfielder Fabinho joins Saudi club Al Ittihad for €46.7m. The Saudi league is experiencing a significant shift as Brazilian players emerge as major players in transfers.

Comparatively, non-Brazilian players such as Riyad Mahrez and Sadio Mané were transferred for 35 million and 30 million euros respectively, underlining the premium given to Brazilian footballers.

Although the transfer list is varied, with players of various nationalities, the dominance of Brazilian players in the top spots illustrates their growing impact on the international market. Other notable transfers include midfielder Rúben Neves, transferred for 55 million euros, and Brazilians Alex Telles and Roberto Firmino, who have also found new teams.
