The Brazilian Women’s Under-17 National Team is the champion of the South American category. With a strong start, Brazil defeated Paraguay 5-1 on Sunday night (31) at the Carfem Stadium in Ypané. The team led by Simone Jatobá secured the title undefeated.
This Sunday’s victory in Paraguay is the fifth for the Women’s National Team in the South American Championship. The “Amarelinha” also won in 2010, 2012, 2018, and 2022.

Earlier, on Thursday (28), Brazil had already secured a spot in the category’s World Cup by drawing with Colombia 2-2 in the second round of the final quadrangular. The World Cup will be held in the Dominican Republic in October.
Before the title decision, Colombia, who defeated Ecuador 4-2, secured the last spot for the World Cup. Ecuador will also compete in the World Cup. At 31 minutes, Sofia sealed the victory by taking advantage of a cross in the area.
