The Brazilian referee trio is back in action at the Paris 2024 Olympics. On Tuesday (30), Ramon Abatti, Rafael Alves, and Guilherme Camilo will officiate the match between Morocco and Iraq at 12 PM (Brasília time) at the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice, as part of the men’s football tournament.
Ramon, affiliated with the Santa Catarina Football Federation, is the main referee and will work alongside assistants Rafael Alves from the Rio Grande do Sul Federation and Guilherme Dias Camilo from the Minas Gerais Federation.

Ramon, Rafael, and Guilherme made their Olympic debut on July 25, officiating the match between the United States and Zambia in the women’s football tournament. On that occasion, the Americans won 3-0 at the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice. Brazilian Daiane Muniz served as the lead VAR official.
Ramon returned to the field last Saturday (27) as the fourth official in Paraguay’s 4-2 victory over Israel at the Parc des Princes in Paris, in the men’s tournament. The match was officiated by a Canadian trio, led by main referee Drew Fischer, with assistants Micheal Barwegen and Lyes Arfa.
Among the 89 referees appointed for the Games, seven are Brazilian (four women and three men), the highest number from any country in the competition. In addition to Ramon Abatti, Rafael Alves, and Guilherme Camilo, the other Brazilian referees include Daiane Muniz, Edina Alves, Neuza Back, and Fabrini Bevilaqua.
Brazilian refereeing made its Olympic debut on the 24th, represented by Daiane Muniz from the São Paulo Federation. She was present as the assistant video referee (AVAR) in the 1-1 draw between Mali and Israel at the Parc des Princes in the women’s football Group D.
The match between Japan and Mali at the Bordeaux Stadium, in the second round of Group D of the men’s football tournament at the Olympic Games on Saturday (27), marked the debut of referee Edina Alves and assistants Neuza Back and Fabrini Bevilaqua.
