Before the match against Santa Cruz, the player received the sad news of the death of his father, Edson Carlos da Silva. Even in the face of tragedy, the player decided to take the field, contributing to the 2-1 victory.

Anderson Tanque honors his father on a difficult night

During halftime of the game, Anderson Tanque requested to participate on the field, deciding to play in honor of his recently deceased father.

Before kick-off, a moving minute of silence was observed in reverence for Edson Carlos da Silva, allowing the football community to pay their respects.

Goal dedicated to his father

In the second half, Anderson Tanque entered the field, visibly emotional, but needed just a minute to make his mark, opening the scoring for Novo Hamburgo after completing a cross.

When celebrating the goal, the striker pointed to the sky, dedicating the feat to his father. The striker was warmly embraced by his teammates, who shared his pain.

“Unfortunately today I received the news that I lost my father. Going through a very difficult time. Even so, I chose to play and this goal is for him”, declared Tanque, emotional after the achievement.

After the emotional victory, Anderson Tanque will head to Concórdia do Pará, where he will reunite with the rest of his family.

The 26-year-old striker arrived at Novo Hamburgo in the second half of last year, accumulating spells at Camboriú, Paraná and São Joseense.
