Juju Harris, the team captain, was responsible for the first goal that paved the way for the victory against Paraguay. Overwhelmed by the triumph, she commented on the excitement of lifting her first trophy wearing the National Team jersey.

“I am very happy for the victory, the goals, the championship, and everything. Representing Brazil and scoring in a final is a unique feeling. We evolved a lot in the competition, and Simone and the coaching staff helped us a lot in this process. Now we will work hard to be prepared for our next challenge, which is the World Cup,” said the forward.

At 15 years old, Giovanna Waksman made her debut for the National Team in grand style. The player was one of the key players for the “Amarelinha” throughout the competition and became one of the main highlights of the team. As one of the youngest athletes on the team, Waksman was crowned the top scorer of the continental tournament, with five goals scored. In addition to contributing to the decisive victory, the number 11 jersey left her mark once again, crowning her participation with a golden touch.

“It is a feeling of great pride to represent my country in my first championship and bring the title to Brazil. Being the top scorer and helping my team with the goals was very gratifying, and I was very happy. Our group is very united, we get along very well, it’s like a family, and we will work to be even stronger when we reach the World Cup,” commented the top scorer.
