On Saturday (28), Brazil won 1-0 in Montreal. The tour of Canada marked the debut of coach Arthur Elias in charge of the Brazilian team and the beginning of the team’s preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Four changes

Coach Arthur Elias had already announced on Monday that he would make changes to the team. Brazil started the friendly with four new players: Yasmim, Angelina, Bia Zaneratto and Gabi Nunes. They entered, respectively, in the places of Tamires, Luana, Geyse and Cristiane.

The Brazilian team controlled the match until 30 minutes into the game. Ary Borges was the first to test the opposing goalkeeper, in the 21st minute. Canada scores in the second half

In the second half, Canada improved. With the support of the fans, the Canadians got together on the field. The first goal was scored by Jordyn Huitema, in the 26th minute, after taking advantage of a beautiful cross. Deane Rose’s goal was scored in the 43rd minute.

Cristiane analyzes the game

Still on the pitch, striker Cristiane commented on the friendly.

“I think that for two friendlies and with little training time, this is the way to go. We’re going to win, we’re going to lose, but it’s important to do all the tests now so that when we get to the Olympics everything is in order,” said the striker.
