Afterward, there was a 15-minute warm-up followed by ball training. Arthur practiced defensive and offensive plays, using some game situations as references. Finally, the athletes worked on penalty kicks.
The facility that hosted the Brazilian National Team on Friday belongs to the local government and is used for athletics and football and rugby matches. The athletics track surrounding the field was used to select the French team that will compete in pole vault events at the Olympics.
The name of the stadium, Edouard Stehelin, honors a famous French engineer responsible for the country’s first locomotives. The arena has a capacity of five thousand people and will host training sessions for the other three teams in Group C of the women’s football tournament: Nigeria, Japan, and Spain.
Brazil will debut on Thursday (25) against Nigeria at the Bordeaux Stadium.
