The game

The match started with a lot of competition for possession of the ball. In the first red-black attack, Arrascaeta opened the play on the left for Cebolinha, who tried to cross into the area, but the defense cut it for a corner. In the fifth minute, Rossi made a good save after Juninho Capixaba’s deflection.

The red and black team tried to play in the exchange of passes, but Bragantino advanced the marking and made the actions difficult. When attacking, the São Paulo team put Rossi’s goal in danger. At 26′, Luiz Araújo plays with Matheuzinho on the right and crosses into the area. Cebolinha headed over the goal.

Ten minutes later, Gerson set up Matheuzinho, who shot hard into the corner, but Léo Ortiz managed to clear it almost over the line. Afterwards, Cebolinha combined with Matheuzinho and risked the shot. The goalkeeper palmed it and Léo Ortiz made the cut for a corner. Arrascaeta took the corner kick and Cebolinha deflected it at the first post, forcing Cleiton to make a great save. The first stage ended without a goal.

After half-time, coach Tite changed two pieces. Matheuzinho and Luiz Araújo left to replace Wesley and Erick, respectively. At five minutes, Cebolinha made a good move on the left and crossed into the area for Léo Pereira to bicycle out. Almost a great goal!

At 29′, Mengão opened the scoring. Arrascaeta teamed up with Erick, cleared the play and finished with the tip of his boot to find the net: 1-0. The team almost scored the second soon after. Bruno Henrique received it from Pedro on the right and crossed the ball to Cleiton’s defense.

In the final minutes, Thiago Borbas received a red card for complaining, leaving Bragantino with one man less.
