Athletico Paranaense"s goalkeeper Bento, 24, is causing a good impression. He is the main starter for the club, but there"s a possibility that he will change his environment in this next transfer window as Benfica is eyeing his services.

Bento confirmed the contact via an interview with Ge. The Portuguese club intends to have Bento for next season. The payment will be around € 10m, even though the goalkeeper is under contract until the end of 2026.

“What was passed on to me is that [the interest] it is real, yes. But I leave it to my agents to sort it out. I"m happy to be recognized by the team [Benfica], but my contract is with Athletico and I hope to fulfill it. Any player has the dream of playing in Europe, I do. But my contract is with Athletico, as long as I can, I"ll fulfill it here. We evaluate, but my goal is Athletico," he said.

If Bento"s transfer is completed, he will break Alisson"s record and become the most expensive goalkeeper in Brazilian football history. Alisson left Internacional to Roma for € 5m.
