The final of the Copa do Brasil (Brazilian Cup) will be decided this Wednesday (16), with the definition of the second leg of the most democratic competition in the country. São Paulo seeks a place in the final against Corinthians, in Morumbi, at 7:30 pm (Brasília time). At 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in Maracanã, it will be Flamengo and Grêmio’s turn to face each other to reach the decision.

The finalists earn at least 30 million reais. In case of a title, the prize for the champion is R$70 million.

In the first match of the day, São Paulo will have full stands to overcome Corinthians’ 2-1 advantage. If it wins the classification, Tricolor Paulista returns to the final of the Copa do Brasil since the 2000 edition and keeps alive the desire to lift the cup for the first time. Timão lost the 2022 final and wants its fourth competition title.

In the other semifinal, Flamengo will defend the 2-0 advantage against Grêmio, in Maracanã. In search of the second conquest in a row, the Rubro-Negro Carioca aims for the fifth cup of the Copa do Brasil to equal Grêmio, which did not give up the title shot. Tricolor Gaúcho aims to tie Cruzeiro and also become the biggest winner of the Copa do Brasil, with six.
