The last World Cup is already part of the past but Brazil has yet to finish turning the page. The position of manager remains vacant, since although Ramon Menezes took over on an interim basis, the CBF is still looking to name someone permanently.
Carlo Ancelotti seems to be the main target to replace Tite, but his contractual situation at Real Madrid has prevented him from making a quick decision. The Italian is not ruled out, but the Brazilian FA (CBF) would have set a deadline for him to make a decision.

Brazil gives Carlo Ancelotti a month to give his answer
As reported by UOL, the CBF board would have decided to give Ancelotti a month to define whether or not to take over as Brazil coach. After that period, they would go on to evaluate alternatives such as Fernando Diniz, Abel Ferreira or Jorge Jesus.
“Carletto” is clearly the favourite, as the federation has been patient with him that they probably wouldn’t have had under other circumstances. The veteran Madrid manager has had success at various European clubs and his presence at the Santiago Bernabéu is also attractive, as he also boosts Brazilian stars such as Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Éder Militão.
Tite’s representative predicts the Brazilian will get a new team soon
Tite’s outstanding job at the helm of the Brazilian national team was somewhat marred by a disappointing performance at the last World Cup. His team had arrived in Qatar after an excellent qualifying campaign in South America and won the 2019 Copa América.
However, a penalty shootout against Croatia in the quarter-finals sealed his fate and ended his dream prematurely. As a result, the former Corinthians manager quit his job and is now looking for a new job. According to Gilmar Veloz, his agent, he could find one soon.
While attending the Sports Summit held in Pacaembu, Veloz said Tite has no plans to lead in his native country in the short term. Instead, he intends to measure up in Europe and possibly return to Brazil in two years.
“He has already publicly expressed this desire and asked us to be patient. There have been many Brazilian clubs interested in Tite since the World Cup. I think that at the next market, this summer in Europe, we will have news. Must wait. Confidentiality is part of our job, we cannot disclose it, but we have some interests and from May 15 we will position ourselves. Tite will definitely come back to work in Europe or elsewhere,” Veloz said, via Ge.
