‘The observations are part of the constant work of the Selection Department. While Dorival and Celso will be in the stadiums, the rest of the technical staff will remain in Rio planning the entire preparation for the two friendly matches and the Copa América. They are detailing the entire work schedule on and off the field, as well as the content of the training sessions,’ said Rodrigo Caetano, Executive Coordinator General of the Brazilian National Teams.

Brazil will play two friendlies before the start of the Copa América. The first will be on June 8 against Mexico at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas. The second friendly will be against the United States on June 12 at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

The Copa América begins on June 20. Brazil is in the same group as Costa Rica, Colombia and Paraguay.

On Friday, Dorival called up 23 players for the two friendlies and the Copa América competition.

Before that, he and the members of the technical staff traveled through Brazil and Europe observing the players. The technical staff monitored more than 40 games and 50 athletes.
