After so much waiting, we finally enter the most important week of the season: this Saturday (November 4), Fluminense and Boca Juniors will meet in the final of the Copa Libertadores 2023.

The match is the central topic in the region, and great figures are already beginning to palpitate the event. Romário, for example, demonstrated his absolute support for the Tricolor in an interview with O Globo.

Just as he did during his time as a player, the Brazilian legend did not care about forms and was forceful when referring to Xeneize: “The one who should take it is Fluminense. Screw the Argentinians, those sons of bitches… That’s it, Boca is going to take it down the drain… I’ve been from Flu since I was born. I have a lot of love for the club. It is the most charming hobby I have had the opportunity to know. They are the best team and they really deserve it.”

Romário defends Fernando Diniz

The current politician wore the colors of the Flu in two stages (2002 and 2003-2005). In total, he played 77 games, scored 48 goals and distributed 11 assists. In addition to expressing himself regarding the Libertadores final, Baixinho expressed all his support for Fernando Diniz as coach of the Seleção simultaneously with his position at Fluminense.

“I want to congratulate Ednaldo (Rodrigues), who is president of the CBF, he chose Diniz well. He is the best coach we have. He doesn’t have time to do with the national team what he does at the club, which is his strong point, the training, the union of these players, he does what he can. They tied and lost these last two games, nobody always wins. But I can say that, in my humble opinion, the Brazilian team is in very good hands with Diniz.”

As it could not be otherwise, he had another outburst when referring to the rumors that link Carlo Ancelotti with the position: “F*** Ancelotti, I love Diniz until the end.”
