Trippier, who made the switch from Atletico Madrid to Newcastle, has been a standout presence in the team, amassing 14 appearances and contributing an impressive seven assists. Carlos commended Trippier’s adaptability, highlighting how he excels on both sides of the defense, and praised his remarkable personality. In his words to JohnnyBet.com, he said,
“We can see an evolution in the role of full-backs and I was particularly impressed with Trippier as he was able to play on the left-hand side for the England national team. I wouldn’t have been able to play on the right of defence but in modern football you need to play on both sides. He has an amazing personality and is very good.”
Despite Manchester United’s previous interest in securing Trippier’s services, they ultimately failed to do so. Trippier revealed that there were discussions about potential moves to other clubs,
“There were a couple of clubs. Me and the manager had a chat at the start of the season and agreed if an opportunity came up I might go”
But family considerations led him to remain in Madrid. “At the start of the season I had a couple of family problems. To be fair they didn’t want to come back. It didn’t happen, so I carried on. I am not one to throw my toys out of the pram when it didn’t happen” he told Mirror Football
In a recent high-stakes match, Newcastle delivered a stunning 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, with Trippier making a notable cameo appearance from the bench. team out of their existing challenges.
