Conmebol released the update of its club ranking this week, with a clear dominance of Brazilian teams. Out of the 281 clubs in the list, 41 are from Brazil, making it the country with the most representativs in the ranking, which also includes teams from Concacaf that participated in Libertadores and Sudamericana in previous years.

The criteria used by the South American football governing body is based on two factors: results in continental competitions in the last 10 years (with greater weight for more recent editions) and historical coefficient (attributed to teams’ performances between 1960 and 2013). National champions also receive 50 points.
