Brazil v Jamaica Retrospect

Brazil and Jamaica have already met twice. In 2007, in the group stage of the Pan American Games, the team won 5-0. In 2019, in the debut of the group stage of the World Cup in France, Brazil triumphed by 3-0, with a hat-trick by Cristiane.

Brazil

With a victory over Panama and a defeat against France in this edition, the Brazilian team is determined to qualify for the round of 16. For the next challenge against Jamaica, the team is looking for victory to guarantee a place in the next phase. Another possibility of classification would be if Panama, last placed in the group with two defeats, manages to beat the leader France.

Classifying for the round of 16, the Brazilian team will face members of group H. If it is in first place in the leaderboard, Canarinho will face the second place in group H; if it is second in its group, Brazil will play against the first place in the other group. In group H are Germany, Colombia, South Korea and Morocco.

Jamaica

Jamaica arrives motivated by the victory in the last duel against Panama. In this World Cup, the Jamaicans drew 0-0 with France, and beat Panama, 1-0. For the duel, Jamaica will be able to count on Khadija Shaw, who was expelled and did not face Panama, but returns to the field against the Brazilian team. The Central American team is only looking for a draw in Wednesday’s game (2).
