In a game that was technically weak and of little action, the teams drew without goals and, thus, remained among the last placed in the Brasileirão. The team from the interior of São Paulo even started better and created the best opportunities, but failed to score. Coelho"s team got to their third match without a win and without scoring goals. They got a little better in the second half, but also did not deserve the victory.
The first 45 minutes was not all that enjoyable.
Bragantino and Corinthians showed enormous difficulty in creating plays,
committed many fouls (20) and generated little to be pleased about.
The hosts were slightly superior, having finished more times on goal. Cassio also made some saves to keep his side in the game.
The match improved in the final stage. After 3 minutes, Arthur almost opened the scoring for the hosts. Lucas Evangelista, Alerrandro and Léo Ortiz also had chances. Coelho made five changes to his side but it was not enough to break the deadlock.
With the result, both sides are not in good positions on the table. Bragantino follows in the relegation zone, now in 17th place with 12 points. Corinthians have only two more points and is in 13th place. By the time all games for this round have been completed, Timão may find themselves even lower in the classification.
For their next outing, Corinthians has a classic ahead of them. The Timon receives Santos at the Neo Química Arena on Wednesday. Bragantino faces Internacional on Thursday in Nabizão.
