With 47 points achieved in the 19th round, Botafogo leads the Brasileirão Assaí with a lot of clearance. The walk towards the title reached half this weekend, with the end of the 1st round of the competition for the club from Rio de Janeiro.

By defeating Internacional 3-1 this Saturday (12), Glorioso equaled the mark of Corinthians, Brazilian champions of 2017, who won 47 points in 19 rounds and secured the title that year with three games to go in the championship.

It is the highest score by a club since the 20-club points system was instituted in 2006.
