Life after Bruno Lage

After the match, Tiquinho Soares spoke about the Portuguese"s departure.

“[I want to] Make it very clear that the Botafogo group is closed, everyone is united. Unfortunately with our other coach we were unable to impose what he wanted. We have great players. It could be any coach who comes here, the most important one will always be Botafogo. I want to congratulate our team. We played a great game against a great opponent who is in the Libertadores final. It is to highlight our will. We continue together."
