Botafogo can afford to enjoy this great present, since they made sure they remained in the lead at least until round 13. At this moment, they are eight points ahead of Flamengo, whom they already defeated 3-2 in April. Botafogo and Mengão will face each other again in August, in the second round of the Brazilian league.
