Atlético-MG and Internacional finished their game in Mineirão with a 2-2 score line as both teams put out a strong battle. The game vas valid for the 24th round of the Brasileirão.
It was a result that saw Atlético-MG falter in the charge to reclaim top spot of the Brazilian Championship.
For Inter, it saw them drop out of the top four after five games in the competition without a win.
Yuri Alberto opened the scoring for Inter in the 9th minute before Atlético equalized two minutes later after an own goal from Musto. Atlético then turned things around with a goal from Hyoran in the 61st minute before Peglow left it late to level matters in the 88th minute.
Internacional are now up to four games without a win in all competitions. In their last seven matches across all competitions, they can only boast of one Copa do Brasil victory. In the Brasileirão, they now have a poor run of seven games without a victory. From once being the leader of the competition, they now find themselves in sixth place and level on points with seventh and eighth place Palmeiras and Santos respectively.
For the Brazilian Championship, Atlético and Inter have their games next Saturday. Galo take on Athletico-PR while Inter face Botafogo.
Just before then, Inter have a game for the Libertadores in between. They will take on Boca Juniors for the return leg of the round of 16 in the competition. Boca Juniors come into the game with a 1-0 lead on aggregate.
