When Barcelona reached an agreement with Athletico Paranaense for the transfer of Vitor Roque, they accepted that the attacker would only leave Brazil in July 2024. However, the Catalonians has changed their mind recently to be able to add him to their squad in the market of winter.
According to Globo Esporte, Furacão would have decided to give in to the Spanish club and accept the departure of their young star earlier than agreed. Tigrinho is still recovering from a ligament injury in his right ankle, but he could reappear in the last leg of the Brasileirão before packing his bags.

The important role of Deco
Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director since August, would have played a key role in resolving this situation. Well, the Portuguese traveled to Curitiba to visit Roque in his recovery, and took the opportunity to talk with the Athletico authorities about the forward’s departure date, according to information from Globo.
Although at one point it was believed that the 18-year-old boy would not be able to play until next year, his evolution would go faster than expected and a possible return is expected on matchday 34 of the Brazilian championship.
“Vítor Roque is recovering very well. We believe it can be ready in four weeks at most. The idea of the player and Barça is for him to come in January, everything has been agreed with Athletico,” said André Cury, Roque’s agent, on RAC1 radio.
The figures of the sale of Vitor Roque to Barcelona
The final agreement between Barcelona and Athletico for the transfer of Roque would be for a fixed amount of 40 million euros plus 21 million in bonuses. With taxes, the operation could reach an amount of 74 million.
