Last Saturday (30), in the 0-0 draw between Valladolid and Levante, Lucas Rosa completed 50 matches for his club. The full-back is in his third season in Spain, the second in the first team. In total, in 23/24, he has played 30 matches, with 28 in La Liga 2 and two in the Copa del Rey. Lucas has scored one goal and provided two assists, starting in 13 matches. In the previous season, he played 20 games, with three assists.
An important player in Valladolid’s campaign for promotion to the First Division, Lucas stands out for playing in more than one position, his commitment to the club, and his consistency. Last November, he renewed his contract, which is valid until 2026.

“I am happy to reach this milestone of 50 matches. It is the result of a lot of hard work, dedication, and the goals I have set in my career. Hopefully, there will be more… We wanted to win the match, but despite a good game, we couldn’t. The competition for the top positions is fierce, and we know that now is the time for total focus and dedication to continue pursuing the goal of promotion,” evaluated the Brazilian.
At 23 years old, Lucas has had a run of 12 consecutive matches for the team, starting seven times and playing the full 90 minutes in six of them. This week, on Wednesday (3), he will turn 24.
“On Sunday, we have another tough match, this time away from home. In this final stretch, we will need to be fully focused to stay among the top six and, ultimately, advance in pursuit of a place in La Liga. Or even fight to finish among the top two, as everything is very balanced. We know how important this return is for the club and for our fans,” added Lucas.
Valladolid was relegated last season on the final matchday. In sixth place in La Liga 2 23/24, they have 52 points, one more than the seventh and eighth-placed teams, and only three points behind the second-placed team. There are nine rounds remaining in the first part of the competition.
