Coach Arthur Elias was very satisfied with the first period of training he led with the Brazilian Women’s National Team. There were eight intense days in Teresópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. The last activities took place this Monday (25).
“There were many important situations. We started work here with time, with the environment that we are starting to build, a different environment, a different mentality, a different way of playing. These days were very useful for us to create these roots, to be able to make a very big exchange with the players”, said Arthur.
For him, the team today “already understands how to play better with the ball, how to attack their opponents better, and also not to be careless in moments without the ball”.
“And, of course, there is a lot to evolve, but to start the work, I am very satisfied with the dedication and assimilation of all the players during this period and this means that we are now ready to test our work at an international level”, continued Arthur.

He added that the Seleção should take advantage of the FIFA dates of October and November to play friendlies with top opponents.
“I see that we are on the path to accelerating this process and that Brazil is already a very organized team within this new model, already on the first FIFA date that we will play, in October.”
Arthur also commented on the fact that he had already worked, at Corinthians, with several athletes called up for this initial period of training.
“Perhaps this connection between them in this first moment, in this first call-up, can help in some way, but, for me, regardless of whether I have already worked or not, I know very well the history of each player here in the Seleção, their performance at the throughout their career, and the objective is to get the best out of them. And we did a lot of that here, in a relationship that was very healthy.”
