This Wednesday (29th), the Women’s Team finished preparing for the friendly against Japan, which will be held this Thursday (30th), in São Paulo. In a press conference, coach Arthur Elias analyzed the next clash and evaluated the beginning of his work with Amarelinha.
“You can expect a very balanced game with two teams that will want to keep possession of the ball, a highly technical match. It has everything to be a great confrontation,” he said.
“I believe that the Japanese team will test us in a different way than the Canadian team and that is important for our work, but for me the evolution is not just on the field. Of course you want to observe on the field, but our construction on the field outside is also important.”

Arthur commented on calling up different athletes on his lists, stating that observing different players is part of the process.
“We enjoyed a lot every day with this group. We made some observations of different athletes in each call-up and this will also be an opportunity to observe other players and another game system, but mainly maintain the characteristic of more imposition, something I’ve been talking about from the beginning.”
Finally, the coach spoke about returning to the Neo Química Arena, but this time as coach of Brazil.
“It’s an excellent field for playing football, it favors both types of play, both for the Brazilian and Japanese teams. I feel very good here, but I’ll also feel very good at Morumbi and Araraquara.”
The Brazilian team faces Japan this Thursday (30), at 3:15 pm, at the Neo Química Arena, in the first friendly match of this FIFA Date.
