“We outlined a plan with the athletes from the beginning, so that we could reach the final and possibly become champions, but with a proposed path. The group understood the ideas very well, we had an excellent coexistence, a very strong engagement and commitment from the players, we did many assessments. Certainly, the Brazilian National Team made a huge leap in what I expect,” he added.

In his first official competition, Arthur Elias’ team played six games, scored 15 goals, and conceded only two. A demonstration of offensive capability and defensive strength. In the final against the hosts, the coach believes that Brazil’s Warriors had good conditions to win the match and claim the title.

“I saw a very competitive team, faced a great opponent. We had more chances than the United States in the game, more volume, shots on goal, passing exchanges. I consider everything we came to do here as a great gain in preparing the Brazilian National Team.”

Thanks to the Copa Ouro, Brazil faced Puerto Rico, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, and Argentina, in addition to the United States. The opportunity to play against them was praised by Arthur Elias, who praised the organization of the competition and said he would like to see the format repeated in youth categories.

“I believe that women’s football does not always need to follow the same path as men’s football. I think that both confederations promoting an organized championship, with good teams preparing, this exchange between the Americas is very positive, and we took great advantage of it. I congratulate Concacaf and Conmebol. I hope that we can have another participation in the Gold Cup and that the entities can also do this in youth categories.”
