Winger Marquinhos was called up to defend the Brazilian National Team in the Under-20 World Cup in Argentina. Revealed by São Paulo, he is an athlete from Arsenal, in England, and is on loan at Norwich City since January.
The Arsenal player replaces Pedrinho, from Corinthians. T imãorequested the athlete’s withdrawal from the Under-20 World Cup.

The tournament starts on May 20th, in Argentina, and Marquinhos will show up later this week, as the group summoned by coach Ramon Menezes is going to start the preparation at Granja Comary today (8).
“I am extremely happy with this news. Being remembered by coach Ramon gives me great pride, as a result of the work carried out in this first year here in England. My desire now is to join my teammates and help Brazil win the World Cup,” said Marquinhos.
The Brazilian debut is scheduled for the 21st, against Italy, in Mendoza. The two teams are in Group D alongside Nigeria and the Dominican Republic.
This season, the winger made 22 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists, numbers that brought a lot of baggage to the 20-year-old player. Marquinhos’ loan ends at the end of this season, and the Brazilian must return to Arsenal, where has a contract until June 2027.
