One of the great market opportunities of the upcoming transfer window will be Santos forward, Marcos Leonardo. The brand new winner of the Samba Gold U-23 suffered relegation to Série B with Peixe and his sale in January has been taken for granted for several months, since the striker would look for a new challenge on the old continent.
For several months now, the forward has been on the list of several European teams, placing special emphasis on an alleged interest from several Premier League clubs, a rumor that has gained strength again in recent days.

Arsenal prepare an offer of 20 million euros for Marcos Leonardo
According to the English media TEAMTalk, Arsenal have sent an offer that would be around 20 million euros for Marcos Leonardo. However, ESPN Brasil assures that the offer has not yet reached the hands of the Peixe board, but that Arsenal’s interest does seem to be real.
Currently, the footballer is on vacation in Bahia with his family and would have left his future in the hands of the Santos board and his agents, but he still maintains his desire to play in Europe in 2024.
Of course, ESPN does not close the door on a possible stay of Marcos Alonso at Peixe at least until mid-2024, since Santos knows that in winter it is unlikely that a good offer will arrive for him, since the European market gains strength in summer.
If an offer does not arrive that convinces all parties involved, Marcos Leonardo could stay at Peixe, since the player would not be willing to accept any offer, but will only sign for the club that offers him a long-term project and the opportunity to be a starter.
