For the previous season, the talented winger had been loaned to Norwich, in the English second division, in a bid to accumulate playing time and acclimatize to the British style of play. This experience has certainly brought him a dose of maturity and experience which could prove invaluable for his new adventure in Nantes.
It should be noted, however, that the deal is not yet finalized and negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs. If the loan terms are agreed, Marquinhos will soon join FC Nantes for a season.
