In what is a massive loss to Argentina and the global football world at large, Diego Maradona has sadly passed away after battling with health issues of late.
The Argentine legend who only turned 60 last month was recently admitted in hospital where he had a surgery for a blood clot in his brain.
All appeared to be fine after his surgery and reports even claimed he was already back to his best.
However, reports from one of the credible Argentine outlets in Clarin report that the ex- Boca Juniors, Napoli and Barcelona player has sadly passed away. As per the report, it is claimed Maradona suffered a cardiac arrest that eventually led to his passing on.
He was widely regarded as one of the very best to grace the sport and his loss would be a huge one to swallow for many.
