The Danish forward, who played for the Blaugrana between 2020 and 2022, recently terminated his contract with Espanyol, where he helped the team return to the top tier of Spanish football. With 22 goals, he was the top scorer in the second division in 2023-24.
According to the Catalan outlet, the Tricolor Gaúcho has a strong chance of signing the forward, with his representatives considering Porto Alegre a very serious option. The Brazilian club’s plan is reportedly to sign Braithwaite on a year-and-a-half deal that runs until December 2025.
