Real Madrid’s Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti is seen as the favorite to take charge of the Brazilian national team, but he has denied having any contact with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The CBF have been looking for a successor to Tite since Brazil’s disappointing elimination at the last World Cup. However, Ancelotti’s contract situation with Real Madrid has prevented any progress on this file.

In each interview, the Italian coach has distanced himself from the rumors that link him to Brazil, because his mind is focused on his current team. In fact, Carlo Ancelotti recently denied the existence of a deadline to give an answer to the CBF.

With almost six months having passed since Tite’s departure, it was said that the CBF had set a deadline for Ancelotti to make a decision. However, Real Madrid’s coach stressed that there was no deadline as he never had contact with the Brazilian management.

“I don’t talk about my future. But I can tell you one thing: this deadline thing is nonsense. There is no deadline because I have never spoken to anyone about the CBF,” Ancelotti said.

His exit from Real Madrid seems a bit complicated, as his contract expires in June 2024 and he doesn’t seem to have any intention of interrupting it. Therefore, the CBF could start evaluating other alternatives.

In sum, Carlo Ancelotti is categorical, he has not been contacted by the CBF, nor set a deadline to give an answer. He’s focused on Real Madrid for now and doesn’t want to disrupt his team’s current dynamic. It remains to be seen if the CBF will continue to consider Carlo Ancelotti for the post of coach or if they will seek another alternative.
