Albania coach Sylvinho among the lowest paid at the EURO 2024

In Euro 2024, it’s not just the players who receive multimillion-dollar salaries; the national team coaches also have their remuneration evaluated in impressive figures.

According to a survey conducted by the Finance Football website, the highest paid coach in the tournament is Gareth Southgate, from England, with an annual salary of €5.8 million (approximately R$34 million).

And what about the Brazilian Sylvinho?

  • At the opposite end of the pay scale is Sylvinho, the only Brazilian coach present at this year’s Euros;
  • Leading the Albanian national team, the former Corinthians coach, Sylvinho, occupies the modest 16th position on the list, receiving €750,000 per year (about R$4.4 million);
  • This figure, although still significant, highlights the disparity compared to his professional colleagues who lead the remuneration list, evidencing the different financial realities between the federations and their choices of technical command.
