It was in the pipeline, it’s now done. Qatari club Al-Sadd SC have just pulled off a masterstroke by signing promising Brazilian player Giovani Henrique from Palmeiras. The club have managed to strike a deal for the young prodigy, who will join the first team until the summer of 2028, in a transfer that is already causing a lot of ink to flow.

The club has formalized this choice acquisition on its website, revealing details of a five-year contract which will come into effect from the 2023-2024 season.

Other Al-Sadd newcomers

This resounding signing adds to an impressive string of high profile signings for Al-Sadd SC. Indeed, the club had already announced the arrival of Colombian midfielder Mateus Uribe, from the prestigious Portuguese club Porto, for a period of three years.

In addition, Brazilian Paulo Otavio from Wolfsburg and Iranian defender Amin Hazbavi from Foolad Khuzestan have also joined the ranks of the Qatari club, both on terms of three and five years respectively.

It is investing heavily in the Middle East at the moment.
