In his last match for Ittihad Kalba, Daniel Bessa scored two goals and provided an assist. By 5-1, the Brazilian’s team beat Khorfakkan and advanced to the next stage of the Adib Cup.

“It was great to score the first goals of the season in the World Cup. It’s my second year here and I’m very motivated to run great campaigns. We know the balance of the League, with very even teams, and we still haven’t won by details. Al Jazira is a strong and traditional team in the country, but we are capable of adding the first three points”, assessed the number 11.

In two rounds of the Emirates League, Ittihad Kalba lost their debut 4-3 to Sharjah and drew 0-0 with Al Bataeh. Bessa has been a starter in the team’s four commitments so far and, in total for the club, has 33 appearances, eight goals and three passes for his teammates to score – a direct participation every three games.

On Saturday, at 10:20 am (Brasília time), Ittihad Kalba faces Al Jazira in the third round of the national competition. The opponent has a triumph and occupies ninth place in the table.

“At home, we hope to get this first victory, which will be very important to give us peace of mind at the start of the competition. We know the difficulties, but we worked well during the week and now it’s time to focus on the game to put into practice everything we did these days”, concluded Bessa, a 30-year-old midfielder, who is experiencing his first time in the Emirates after a solid career in Europe, with a good moment in Italy, and passing through Goiás in 2020.
